I love peanut butter, but a lot of the popular brands are full of junk ingredients I’d rather do without. But also — the cleaner alternatives always seem to cost a fortune.

So I started making my own.

Somewhere along the way, I discovered cashew butter — basically buttery gold — and Goobie’s Nut Butter was born.

I’ve been called “Goobie” since I was five years old, so when the nut butter started becoming something more than a kitchen experiment, the name was already there.

What my wife Susie & I started in our kitchen has turned into a small-batch nut butter company built around a simple idea: good nuts make better butter. We keep the recipes simple, use real ingredients, and make each batch here in San Diego with care.
